Kahaani 2 is a deftly woven tale that uses a fast paced thriller to shine focus on the topic of child sexual abuse. To say any more about the plot will give it away. Suffice to say, I found the movie to be a grisly watch, gory sometimes, but always watchable, in spite of the somewhat predictable end. This movie, without competent actors would fall flat and Vidya Balan, Arjun Rampal and the slew of character actors make the movie a worthy watch. It speaks to the changing face of Hindi Cinema, that for two weeks in a row, the major Bollywood release is a movie anchored by a female actor and tackles an issue that is socially taboo. Overall, I would say that Kahaani 2 is a one time watch.
